EDT formally began when our two co-founders decided to formally pursue a shared passion of theirs - getting the most from your data.

We strongly believe that it is the cross fertilisation of domain expertise and data expertise that produce the most impactful results, and that is the basis of how EDT operate. This ideology was consolidated throughout our inaugural Innovate UK project, building machine learning systems for the precision manufacturing sector.

Armed with experts in both fields, we set out to create a system that solved one of the biggest problems in precision manufacturing, real-time quality control.

Going through the process of coupling data science expertise with domain knowledge and experience proved incredibly powerful in the development of PerceptiQ - and now we are working to replicate this process across a multitude of sectors, building AI systems with real world problems at their core.
